The source also told InsideTheVille.com that the Louisville coaching staff had expressed strong interest last summer in the 6-foot-10 Ellis, but explained that the trio would almost certainly be part of a package deal to the program fortunate to land their services.
With 950 fans in attendance, including Masiello, Mayo, Walker, Ellis and North College Hill showed little mercy in a 107-65 win over Lockland, Ohio's sixth-ranked team. Mayo, the nation's top-ranked junior, had a team-high 26 points, while Walker, the No. 4 rated junior nationally, scored 21. Ellis, rated the nation's No. 43 prospect, added 13.
The source also offered advice to college recruiters hoping to make in-roads with the trio.
"If a school is interested in recruiting them they need to continue to show their interest," the source said.
While the North College Hill trio don't often discuss their recruitment with the media, Mayo told Scout.com last July that UConn, Florida A&M, Syracuse, Louisville, Texas, Kentucky, North Carolina, and West Virginia were on the list.
