If that's the case, Roper isn't ready to let the cat out of the bag.
According to the source, Louisville had won the race for Roper's services. However, Roper wasn't ready to confirm that when reached by phone Wednesday evening.
"No, I haven't made a decision yet," Roper told InsideTheVille.com. "I'll have a decision by the end of the week, no later than next Sunday."
Roper sounded worn down by the recruiting process. In recent weeks, he's made visits to Louisville and Duke. In fact, he's taken at least two trips to Louisville, one of his three finalists, this fall. He's also made an official visit to Oregon.
Last weekend, Roper made his final official visit to Durham, N.C. The Blue Devils, who finished 1-10 this season, along with Louisville and Oregon, comprise his final list of suitors.
Now, Roper says he's ready for the phone calls from college coaches and recruiting websites to cease.
"I'm just ready for all the phone calls from coaches and recruiting websites to end," said Roper. "I'd like to spend the next few days without the phone calls so I can sit down with my parents and talk about my decision."
