How solid is Frank Grimes' commitment?

Frank Grimes, a 6-0, 270-pound defensive lineman from Tallahassee, Florida, says he verbally committed to the University of Louisville during his official visit this weekend. However, Grimes mentioned interest in other schools and said he'd like to take more visits. How solid is Grimes commitment?

Frank Grimes, a 6-0, 270-pound defensive lineman from Tallahassee Godby, told Sunday evening that he verbally commited to Louisville this weekend while on his official visit.

However, Grimes seemed a bit hesitant and uncertain when asked about his commitment and for that reason his commitment might not be solid at this point.

"I commited to Louisville this weekend," Grimes said. "They recruited me to play on the defensive line. I still might take some other visits. I'm trying to set one up with Auburn, and I'm going to visit them for sure. And I might go to Florida A & M."

Grimes said he informed offensive coordinator Paul Petrino that he was offering Louisville his verbal commitment to attend U of L.

"He acted like he knew I was going to do it, and he just told me to keep my grades up," Grimes said.

Grimes made the trip to Louisville this weekend with teammate Kareem Crowell, a talented defensive lineman who verbally committed to Auburn a few weeks ago. "He's still committed to Auburn," Grimes said.

Apparently, Grimes enjoyed the time he spent in Louisville.

"The visit went alright," he added. "Everything was good. Everybody gets along real well there. I like a lot of things about Louisville."
