Louisville will get last crack at Hawthorne

First Team All-South receiver Tim Hawthorne has taken official visits to Auburn and Georgia. He has scheduled his remaining three visits.

"I will visit South Carolina January 13, Florida January 20, and Louisville January 27," said Tim Hawthorne.

Scout.com's 7th-best receiver in the country is evaluating quarterbacks on his official visits, and Brian Brohm (Louisville) and Chris Smelley (South Carolina) are two of his favorites. Though only five schools will receive official visits, Hawthorne has three schools still in the running for his signature.

"Alabama, Tennessee and LSU are still in it," said Hawthorne. "I plan to make an unofficial visit to Alabama January 6. My parents haven't been down there. I want them to experience it. We'll go down there and spend the whole day."

"I plan to make an unofficial visit to LSU as well," Hawthorne added.

Hawthorne planned to announce his college decision on national signing day, but has changed the date as he stated, "I will probably announce my decision the Monday before signing day."
