The 6-foot-5, 190-pound Wolfe, who orginially committed to Louisiana Tech a month ago, chose the Cardinals after they expressed last-minute interest and invited him on an official visit.
"I didn't even plan on taking another visit after I committed to Louisiana Tech," Wolfe told The Advocate newspaper in Baton Rouge. "Then out of the blue Louisville called and wanted me to visit. They have only one quarterback on scholarship and a walk on behind him. I couldn't imagine a better situation when you look at other BCS schools that are ranked in the top 25."
Wolfe threw for 2,250 yards and 23 touchdowns as a senior, earning First Team All-Discrict and All-Metro honors.
In addition to Louisville and LA Tech, Wolfe drew interst and offers from Central Arkansas, Tulane, Northwestern State and Stephen F. Austin.
