Chichester makes surprise visit to Louisville four-star receiver/tight end prospect from the Buckeye State spent time visiting the U of L campus on Wednesday

The past few days have brought a few recruiting surprises and another one may be in the works. Just the fact that the mid-week visit occurred is impressive enough.

Lakota West (OH) HS WR/TE prospect Josh Chichester, who committed to Ohio State in early July, is currently making a visit with Louisville.

The four-star prospect, who strongly considered Louisville, Notre Dame, Illinois and others before pledging to Ohio State, is being hosted by Cardinal receiver Harry Douglas.

Prior to taking in the Cardinals game against rival Cincinnati at Freedom Hall, the 6-foot-8, 210-pound All-State performer, who is rated as the nation's No.14 receiver by, spent time having dinner with a trio of U of L assistants in Paul Petrino, Mike Cassity and Greg Nord.

As a senior, Chichester hauled in 36 receptions for 726 yards and 7 touchdowns. During his time at Lakota West, Chichester established new marks for receptions in a season (36) and career (94), as well as receiving yards in a season (734), career (1,793) and career receiving touchdowns (21).

Also a three-star power forward prospect, Chichester's current plans also include being a walk-on member of the Ohio State basketball program.
