Recent commitments from Kareem Crowell, L.T. Walker, Latarrius Thomas and Josh Chichester - all of whom are rated among the top 35 in the nation at their position - have pushed Louisville's current recruiting ranking near the top 25.
As of Sunday morning, the Cardinals were ranked as having the No. 31 recruiting class in the country. It's the highest such ranking for a Bobby Petrino class. Petrino has seen two of his previous three recruiting hauls finish among the top 50, but never reaching as high as it is now.
Analysis says Scout.com is the best
Those that enjoy seeing how many 'stars' the Cardinal coaches can collect are having a great time with this current recruiting class. For those that don't put too much stock in the rankings, the findings of a four year analysis by The Birmingham News (Click here for complete article) was published on Sunday morning which suggested that there is a connection with the recruiting rankings and the AP Top 25.
Louisville's future on the gridiron continues to shine bright and with a handful of prospects - Deantwan Whitehead and Brandon Heath to name a couple - still to announce their college intentions, it could still get brighter.
