SIGNING DAY: Kessling firm with his decision

Despite a late inquiry from hometown Florida State, Tallahassee offensive lineman Ryan Kessling remains firm in his commitment to attend Louisville next year.

Despite a late show of interest from Florida State, Ryan Kessling will sign with Louisville at 8:30 Wednesday morning at his high school.

The 6-5, 280-pound offensive lineman from Lawton Chiles High in Tallahassee, Florida said the Seminoles approached him last week to inquire whether he was interested in switching his commitment from Louisville to Florida State.

"They asked me if I was interested and I said ‘no,'" Kessling told InsideTheVille.com Tuesday afternoon. "They never offered a scholarship when I was talking to them, but I told them that I was committed to Louisville. Basically, the only reason they came after me was because they didn't have enough commits."

Kessling made no bones about where he'll sign to play Wednesday.

"I'm signing with Louisville tomorrow," Kessling said. "They're a good team, and I like the campus and the college life there when I took the visit. And I like the coaches. That's why I chose to go there."
