SIGNING DAY: Heath to The 'Ville three-star safety Brandon Heath of Palm Beach Lakes (Fla.) High School picked Louisville over West Virginia on during a ceremony at his school on Wednesday morning....

With two programs - Louisville and West Virginia - waiting in anticipation on Wednesday morning, Palm Beach Lakes safety Brandon Heath gave them an answer at a press conference held at his school.

The three-star prospect made his decision final when he announced for Louisville and signed his Letter of Intent with the Cardinals program just minutes ago.

"I think overall he just felt very comfortable with Louisville's coaching staff and the style of defense they play," Palm Beach Lakes coach Dan Sanso told "Plus Jeremy Baker going there always a factor."

As a senior Heath recorded 72 tackles, including 3 for a loss and two sacks, as well as notching 8 interceptions. Offensively, the 6-foot-1, 195-pounder pulled 32 receptions for 520 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Noted as a physical player with good understanding of the game and tremendous instinticts, Heath was named Class 6A First Team All-State by the Florida Sports Writers Association.

"I've always seen him as the next Ed Reed," said Sanso. Just the way he runs, reacts, and has a great understanding of the game. He has intangibles that you just can't coach."
