Auburn, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, Michigan, NC State, Notre Dame, South Carolina and Texas are among those that have already offered the 5-foot-10, 175-pound All-Region and All-Area performer.
As the list continues to grow, Gray says that he'll keep an open mind and hasn't developed an early list of favorites.
"I think I have 17 offers right now," Gray recently told InsideTheVille.com. "I don't have any favorites. I just want to make sure to check everything out first."
While he most certainly will play cornerback on the college level, Gray turned heads as a junior by excelling at three different positions.
He spent the first part of the season at receiver before moving to quarterback, where he threw for over 1,600 yards and 11 touchdowns. Defensively he totaled 65 tackles, 19 pass breakups and 4 interceptions.
"I'll play wherever the coaches want me, but most of them want to see at cornerback," said Gray.
On pace to graduate in December, Gray is anticipating on making his college decision by the summer and to help him do so, he's going to hit the road a number of times during the coming weeks and months.
"I'm going to South Carolina's junior day on the 25th and I'm going to go to some camps," said Gray, who will likely make a trip to the Bluegrass State to visit both Kentucky and Louisville. "I'm thinking about going to Notre Dame's and Clemson's camps, plus I'll do a couple others."
