Chris Douglas plans April visit to U of L

Chris Douglas, a talented 5-9, 190-pound running back from suburban Atlanta's Peachtree Ridge High School, has an early list of five favorites. He's also preparing to make a visit and check out one of those five programs.

Chris Douglas is a talented back from suburban Atlanta's Peachtree Ridge High School. He runs with a head forward, punishing style and he's already drawing attention from schools across the region.

"I'm going up to Louisville on April 8th. I'm looking forward to meeting the staff up there and checking out the players and the environment. I also want to see the offense," Chris Douglas said.

One SEC West program is also hot and heavy after the Georgia native.

"Alabama is also after me hard. I've checked out their facilities and I like that a lot. I know Darby is on his way out and I would fit in well on the depth chart. That's a great school and they run the football."

He names an early top five.

"I like Alabama, Louisville, Clemson, Auburn and Georgia."

What is he looking for most in the school of his choice?

"I want a place that has my major. I want to major in sports marketing. I took marketing this year for the first time and I really enjoyed it. I love the business aspect of it and I love to be around sports."

On Friday night's Chris splits time with super-sophomore Brandon Davis.

"It's really good. It gets frustrating at times but it's the best for our offense and that's why our team is so good and it's so balanced. We really improved last year winning 5 more games than in 2004, but I want that ring now. I got to get a ring. At the very least we should be number one in the region."

Douglas carried the ball 89 times for 700yds and 9 touchdowns as a junior. He will participate in the Combine at Georgia Tech on April 15th.
