"It's nice getting things and hearing from so many schools," Webb told InsideTheVille.com on Sunday. "It feels great knowing that they are interested in me."
While he has yet to draw his first scholarship offer, he is confident that one school will start a trend that would develop into a number of offers by year's end.
"I think the one the closest is Georgia Tech," he said. "They have been sending me some hand written letters and are probably showing me the most interest right now."
Webb will get a closer look at the Yellow Jacket program on an upcoming unofficial visit. Visits with Auburn, Kentucky and Louisville have already been made.
"We didn't go anywhere for spring break, so we decided to visit a couple places," explained Webb, who recently received an invitation to attend the upcoming Michigan spring game.
On Saturday, Webb was among the more than 100 rising high school juniors on hand for U of L's junior day and said that opportunity to watch Bobby Petrino's Cardinals practice and scrimmage inside the Trager Center was beneficial.
"They have some of the best facilities that I've seen," he said. "I like the coaches there a lot and their practices are very well organized."
Webb, who will make a return trip Auburn for their upcoming lineman camp, will attend the Scout.com All-American Combine at Louisville on May 20.
"I know the coaches put a lot of emphasis on the one-on-one drills so they can see how well you do your job, so I'm working on getting ready for that," said Webb.
