LB Chris Walker visits U of L for second time

Memphis, Tennessee linebacker also attended the Cardinals junior day

One of the South's most wanted prospects took in two unofficial visits this past weekend.

"Christopher visited The University of Louisville and The University of Kentucky on Friday night and Saturday respectively. The University of Louisville went extremely well. We watched their Spring game Christopher was able to tour the athletic facilities and speak with Coach Brohm. As for The University of Kentucky, Christopher realized EARLY that they were not in need of a linebacker given the fact that they already had 12 on their roster. He spoke briefly with Coach Smith, the linebackers coach, who really didn't know who he was. His departing words were, "Keep us in mind." We actually left with 8 minutes to go in the 1st quarter of their Spring game and drove back to Memphis," added Gloria Walker, Chris' mother.

Memphis, Vandy, Miami, LSU, Ole Miss, MSU, Alabama, Auburn, Clemson Louisville, and Arkansas have now offered.

Chris has been starting for Christian Brothers since his 10th grade season.

Last year, he recorded 83 tackles, 10.5 for losses, 4 sacks, and 9 caused fumbles.

Walker was named 1st Team All-State (D11 3A) for his play on the field.

Walker will participate at the scout combine at Ole Miss on April 30th.
