Louisville offers fast FL RB Rai-Shawn Wilson

With Michael Bush and Kolby Smith nearing the end of their college careers, Louisville coach Bobby Petrino and staff are looking for a few good running backs in the Class of 2007. In their search, the Cardinals recently offered talented Florida running back Rai-Shawn Wilson (5-11, 190), who ran one of the fastest 40-times at the Scout.com All-American Combine in Jacksonville in early March.

Rai-Shawn Wilson had picked up an early offer from Illinois. Then soon after the spring contact period started, Nebraska extended one. And on Thursday, the talented St. Augustine junior added a third.

"I wanted to let you know that Louisville offered me," Wilson said. "I think it's good. They're up and coming. I like them."

Wilson, 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds, has been a busy man so far this week.

"The coaches started calling me on Monday," he said. "I've gotten calls so far from Georgia, Florida State, Florida, Alabama, Michigan, and Miami. I'm just enjoying the process right now."
