Virginia teammates hold Louisville offers

It's not often that you find two high Division I cornerback prospects on the same team, but such is the case with two Highland Springs (Va.) High School seniors. Both have the ability to become playmaker's on the college level and their list of scholarship offers is evidence of their potential. Prospect video included.

Cornerback's Cris Hill and C.J. Fleming are near mirror images of each other. The two speedsters have near equal measurements and abilities, giving Highland Spring (Va.) head football coach Scott Burton a dangeous pair of corners.

"They both pretty much are carbon copies of each other physically – both just a shade under 6-foot, about 170-175 [pounds]," Burton told in March. "They both run really well. Physically, they both have a lot of tools and are smooth in what they do."

As a junior, Hill, who plays both corner and receiver, totaled 30 tackles and 3 interceptions, while also pulling in 20 receptions for over 500 yards and 7 touchdowns.

Fleming notched eight interceptions last fall, earning multiple postseason honors, including All-Metro.

"Chris is probably a little bit better athlete than C.J. – does things a little bit more smoothly - maybe a step faster than C.J. But C.J. has a little bit more football savvy then Chris does," said Burton. "He probably understands how to play the game a little more and is a little bit more aggressive at this point."

The scholarship list for each is indentical as well, with Louisville, Maryland, North Carolina, NC State, Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia Tech and West Virginia all extending offers. spoke with Cris Hill about the recruiting process, who said that despite the amount of early interest, no leader has emerged.

"I think Maryland is recruiting me the hardest right now," said Hill. "I don't really have any favorites right now though. I'm just trying to weigh all of my options."

While the possiblity of attending the same college as his current teammate intrigues Hill, it's not something that he and Fleming will be using as a part of their eventual decisions.

"We haven't really even talked about it that much," explained Hill. "It would be a good thing if it happens, but we each have to go where were comfortable."

With no plans to attend camps this summer, Hill hopes to use the time to visit some of the school's that have made offers.

"I won't be going to any camps this summer, but I'm going to try to visit some of the schools," he said. "I want to look at all of the school's real hard to see what they have to offer."
