'Cards' are on the table for Lydarius Friend

Lydarius Friend, one of the top standouts at the Tusaloosa, Alabama Scout.com combine late last month, received his second scholarship offer this week - and it's one that got the 6-3, 205-pound wide receiver rather excited.

Buckhorn's Lydarius Friend is one of the bigger receiver targets in the South. Friend was a standout at the Scout.com All-American combine in Tuscaloosa April 29, and Tuesday he added his second scholarship offer.

"I received an offer from Louisville yesterday," said Lydarius Friend from New Market, (Ala.). "It was my second offer. I had received an offer from Arkansas about a month ago."

"It was pretty exciting to receive the offer from Louisville. I like that offer a lot. I am considering them. I really don't know much about Arkansas."

and Louisville.

Friend measured 6-3.5, 206-pounds, ran a 4.78 40-yard-dash and a 4.50 shuttle at the Scout.com combine.

He holds two scholarship offers, and several other schools may jump in soon.

"I am receiving heavy interest from Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss and a lot of other schools. Coach [Chris] Ball from Alabama has talked to me about them offering. I feel like they will."

When asked favorites Friend replied, "I am not naming any favorites right now. I am wide open."

He will attend summer camps at Alabama and Auburn.
