Chris Walker talks about Louisville visit

Memphis (Tenn.) Christian Brothers High School linebacker Chris Walker talks to Scout.com's Jamie Newberg about his recent visit to Louisville. The 6-foot-2, 215-pounder has already collected an impressive list of scholarship offers, including one from Bobby Petrino

Chris Walker is one of the top linebacker prospects from the South region. Walker, 6-2 and 220 pounds, plays from Memphis (Tenn.) Christian Brothers High School. Last season he racked up 83 tackles, 11 tackles for a loss and two interceptions (one returned for a touchdown).

"I just go out there and make plays," said Walker, "especially when my team needs me."

According to Walker he has scholarship offers from 14 teams including LSU, Alabama, Miami, Tennessee, Michigan, Louisville and Arkansas. Those schools all sit on his short list.

"I just got back from LSU and the visit went well. It was very informal and I had a chance to speak with coach Miles. I love the way they play defense. They are very aggressive and they blitz so much.

"Alabama has a nice campus and staff. I like coach Shula.

"I like Coach Fulmer and we have talked on the phone a lot with him. They are the home school and they need linebackers.

"Miami and Michigan are two schools I have not seen but they offered and I will see them this summer. I am researching both on them.

"I went to the Louisville spring game and it was nice visit. I am very pleased with them.

"I went to Arkansas and I really like their campus and I love their defense.

"It's gonna boil down to people because those are the people I will spend the next four to five years of my life with."

Walker plans on taking visits this summer to Miami, Michigan, Clemson and Tennessee.
