In their continued search to find a bruising back to compete for the spot to be vacated by senior Heisman candidate Michael Bush, the University of Louisville has turned its attention to LaPorte, Texas and 6'2, 230-pound Quentin Castille. Check inside for video highlights on one of Louisville's most recent scholarship offers.
Things can happen quickly in the world of football recruiting and such is the case with LaPorte (Tex.) High School running back Quentin Castille
. Two weeks ago the 6-foot-2, 230-pounder held one scholarship offer from Northwestern, but has since added Louisville
to the mix.
"I like Louisville a lot," Castille told InsideTheVille.com's Mike Hughes in late May and prior to receiving the Cardinals offer. "I talk to their coach, Coach Nord, quite a bit. He's a nice guy and I like the way they are recruiting me."
Central Florida, Iowa State, LSU, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss and Texas A&M are among the others keeping close tabs on the punishing back.
Castille, who has listed the Cardinals, along with LSU and Ole Miss as his early favorites, rushed for 1,203 yards and 12 touchdowns on 161 carries as a junior.
The following Scout.com video clips of Castille's junior season highlight both his strength and speed, making him a difficult back for opponents to slow down. Stay tuned to InsideTheVille.com during the coming days for more on one of the Cardinals latest scholarship offers.
