"I got the offers shortly after the combine. I feel I had a good workout there and the schools were impressed enough to offer. To be honest that combine was the best that I have ever been to. There was a lot more interaction with the coaches, and it was very organized. The competition level was very high, and I went against some unbelievably good cornerbacks.
Caldwell is evaluating a number of schools, but the Kentucky offer is standing out a little more than the others are at this point in time.
"I am still interested in Clemson, Louisville, Illinois and UCLA," Caldwell explained. "Cincinnati is also showing me a lot of interest. I trade text messages with them, and they seemed to be another school that was watching me closely during the combine.
"All four of the schools that have offered are great schools. They all seem to pass the ball a lot. I have been getting online and doing my own research on what each school has to offer.
"Kentucky has a lot to offer. They have been getting more and more recognition and they have some good recruits coming in."
As a junior, Caldwell helped to lead his team to a state championship by reeling in 64 catches for 1,191 yards and 21 touchdowns.
