Cards offer South Carolina OL

Kyle Fischer (6-6, 270) may not have the offers of his fellow offensive linemen Mason Cloy and Quintin Richardson, but many college coaches feel the Spring Valley High big man may have just as much upside. Even after the May evaluation period, the Columbia, S.C. native continues to add offers.

Kyle Fischer may not have the offers of his fellow offensive linemen Mason Cloy and Quintin Richardson, but many college coaches feel the Spring Valley High big man may have just as much upside. Even after the May evaluation period, the Columbia, S.C. native continues to add offers.

"I got a couple new offers, from Maryland and Louisville; I already had some from NC State, Maryland, and Louisville," said the 6-foot-6, 268-pounder. "They are all good programs, they are rebuilding, and the educational value is good."

Fischer plans to major in sports medicine hoping to work in a strength and conditioning program, so getting to see schools in person could help in making his decision.

"The week of July 10, I am going up to Maryland, Virginia, and Virginia Tech. I plan on going to a camp at North Carolina in the middle of July. Pretty much they said if I go up there to visit and work out then I can get an offer. I plan on visiting NC State some while I am there."

Unlike Richardson, who has already plans to South Carolina, and Cloy, who plans to announce his college choice soon, Fischer would like to wait until the season to make a commitment.
