Pitino's efforts with Tucker have been relentless and he's scored an unofficial visit. The visit will occur this Sunday when Tucker leaves NBPA Camp in Richmond, Virginia. In the past, Tucker was quoted as saying Louisville was his leader, and he still likes the Cards.
"Yeah," he said when asked if Louisville was still his leader. "Because they have told me about their school and how their players have their own little house and stuff like that and the coaches are real cool. Plus you got a coach that has experience coaching at a high level."
Tucker has already been to Michigan State and Michigan and after his visit to Louisville he plans on taking a visit to Miami to check out the campus and South Beach.
"Miami is a cool school," Tucker said. "Plus it's in Miami."
While Louisville, Miami and MSU have been in the picture for a while the Wolverines are a relatively new addition to his list. Even though they are among his top four, they still have some ground to make up.
"I didn't know that they really wanted me like that," he said. "They called me up and we had a meeting and talked about it."
With all the visits coming up, one would think Tucker would be at home resting. However, Tucker is currently at the NBA Player's Association Camp in Virginia. The Arthur (MI) High product had a solid first day of camp scoring most of his points on drives to the basket and off offensive rebounds.
After NBPA Camp Tucker will play in ABCD Camp, then head to the USA Festival before leaving for Las Vegas with the Michigan Hurricanes.
