Louisville out in front for Zach Kiernan?

Zack Kiernan, one of the top defensive standouts in the state of Kentucky, currently holds three offers. The 6'7, 240-pound DE has already made an unofficial visit to Louisville and the Cardinals might be the team to beat for his services.

Zack Kiernan, a 6-foot-7, 240-pound defensive end from Newport Central Catholic in Newport, Ky., has three official scholarship offers, and is hearing from a multitude of solid division one programs.

"I have offers from Louisville, Kentucky, and Cincinnati," Kiernan reported. "Illinois, Notre Dame, Connecticut and have all been showing me a good amount of interest."

Of the schools that have offered Kiernan, Louisville may have the slight edge in his recruitment at this point.

"I enjoyed the campus when I visited, and they have had a good program over the last few years," Kiernan said as he began to explain why Louisville has surged to the top of his list. "I really like the coaching staff. They seem like a close knit group."

"I am also high on UK and UC. UC has an up and coming program with a very strong architectural field; the program that I plan on majoring in. I will probably take some visits and decide after my season."

As a junior, Kiernan compiled 96 tackles, 15 tackles for a loss, and four sacks earning All-Conference, All-District, and All-State honors for his efforts.
