Quentin Castille sets visit; names leader

Big, bruising and quick La Porte (Tex.) High School running back Quentin Castille tells Scout.com that he has an official visit scheduled with Louisville in December. The Scout.com three-star prospect also has a new favorite atop his list of schools.

There is little doubt that Quentin Castille could be a very effective back in college. The standout from La Porte (Texas) had 169 carries last year for 1,227 yards and 12 touchdowns.

"We had a little scrimmage this past Friday," Castille said. "It went pretty good. It was just against our own team. our first real game is next Friday against Clear Lake."

Castille might want to be featured in the running game for La Porte, but Castille wanted to show off something else. "I think that I did pretty good. I had a lot of good blocking. That was from pass-pro. That was one of my weaknesses last year."

Recruiting is picking up once again and official visits are becoming a hot topic. Castille has one scheduled already for this coming week and one again the first weekend in December.

"Recruiting is going pretty good. I have two official visits set up so far. I go to Nebraska this coming week. After that I go to Louisville on December 1."

Castille doesn't seem like he's looking to make an early commitment anywhere. Don't look for Castille to see enough to make him want to commit this weekend. "I don't think so. I think that I am going to take all of my visits.

There is a popular belief that Castille's size could equal teams looking at him to play fullback, but Castille says that isn't true. "All of the schools recruiting me are recruiting me to play running back."

There is a new factor into Castille's decision that has him now favoring another team. Location seems like it will play a huge part in his decision. "I am just looking for a place that really isn't down South, but on the East coast. I would like to go somewhere out East."

"The reason why I have Louisville as my number one school is because their running back, Michael Bush, is going to be highly rated next year. Their coaches tell me that I remind them of him. That's really why they're my number one school."
