While projected as a wide receiver or possibly cornerback on the college level, the 5-foot-9, 180-pound all-purpose athlete see's most of his action with the Bulldogs as the team's primary running back. The Scout.com four-star prospect made multiple unofficial visits with the hometown Cardinals during the spring and summer months. He also helped guide his team to the U of L 7-on-7 passing tournament.
His latest visit came this past Sunday, as he and dozens of others prospects were guests of the Cardinal program for the team's season-opener, a 59-28 win over in-state rival Kentucky.
"It was a nice visit - it was a real nice visit," said Beaumont. "The team played great and the crowd was real good. Some of the crowd was cheering my name and telling me that I need to come play there."
In addition to being wooed by the home crowd, Beaumont also spent time visiting with the U of L coaching staff.
"I talked to Coach Nord and Coach Petrino," he said. "Actually, I pretty much talked to all the coaches."
With offers from the Cardinals and Wildcats, as well as plenty of interest from a number of others, Beaumont said that he has no set plans for future visits, but that he anticipates making most of U of L's home games.
"I know I'll probably go visit U of L for all of their games and I'll visit some others later too," he continued.
Beaumont, who tops both the ITV and Scout.com state rankings, added that he currently claims no favorite and has no set plans for when may make his college decision.
