"U of L actually sent me a letter the first of September telling me that they offered me and I guess I didn't get it or I did and just didn't understand it," said Heyman, who recently celebrated his birthday. "They sent me a letter on my birthday about the offer. It's a great feeling. Louisville's a great school on the climb and I'm looking forward to seeing how they progress during my senior year."
Playing mostly in pass coverage, the 6-foot-4, 225-pound athlete recorded at least 5 tackles and a pass break up in the end zone to help Male claim a 28-27 overtime win against Louisville St. Xavier.
"I try to play every play like it's coming to me," said Heyman. "I just went up for the ball and with my long reach made a big play. That play actually means a lot to me because it could have saved the game. I'm just so proud of how our team played tonight."
Male will face long-time rival Manual next Friday.
