"It was a good visit," Fairchild said. "I liked the campus. They took us through the Cardinal Walk and everything was nice."
Fairchild is one of the top prospects in Ohio. Clocked at 4.4-seconds in the forty, Fairchild has caught 33 passes for 605 yards and five touchdowns as a junior. He's also returned two punts for touchdowns and has been invited to Max Emfingers 2008 All-Star game. Emfinger also ranks Fairchild among his top 250 junior playmakers and the 7th top "super athlete."
"I've always wanted to go to (Louisville)," Fairchild said. "I like the offense that they run. I'd like to go to a school out of state and Louisville is out of state, but it's also close enough to home that my parents could see me play."
Fairchild currently has no scholarship offers. Besides Louisville, Fairchild has also made unofficial visits to Pittsburgh and Bowling Green. He'll also visit Louisville's Big East rival West Virginia Dec. 2 and hopes to make another unofficial trip to Louisville this season.
Fairchild said he'll be watching the Louisville-West Virginia clash in two weeks.
"I will be watching for sure," Fairchild said. "And I'll be rooting for Louisville."
