The South Kent (CT) Prep product left the Derby City without making a verbal commitment, but according to head coach Raphael Chillious, a decision could occur by the end of today.
"He's going to talk to me later on this evening probably and then he'll talk to his advisors and family, and then he'll make a decision on the school," said Chillious.
"We're hoping for tonight or tomorrow, but we're not going to rush it," he continued.
Chillious said that Dia's visit to Louisville went well and that his star player was somewhat taken by surprise from the type of fan support the school's basketball program receives.
"It was a great visit," said Chillious. "One thing about his trip was that everybody knows who he is and he didn't really understand the magnitude of that down there."
If Dia picks Louisville, he would join George Goode, a 6'8, 210-pound forward from Raytown, Missouri, as the second prospect from the Class of 2007 to verbally commit to the Cardinals. Goode is rated the No. 73 prospect nationally by Scout.com.
