Luther Davis still hopes to make return visit

Scout.com five-star defensive end Luther Davis has had a slight change to his list of favorites, but despite an earlier report that indicated the opposite, the Cardinals are still very much in the mix for the U.S. Army All-American.

On Thursday a report surfaced on Scout.com that failed to list Louisville as one of the schools that Scout.com five-star defensive end Luther Davis was still considering for his eventual college decision.

InsideTheVille.com spoke with the West Monroe, Louisiana prospect on Thursday evening to get the latest on the U.S. Army All-American.

There was an earlier article that didn't include Louisville in your current list of favorites. Is that correct?

"That had to be a misprint. I talked to Coach Whitt (Thursday), and I talked to him on Monday, so that was probably a misprint."

Last time I spoke with you, you mentioned that you were planning on making an unofficial visit to Louisville for their final home game. Is that still in the works?

"I'm still trying to get that done. I'm still working towards that. I still think about the trip I made up there everyday. I would love to get back up there again."

When you begin taking additional official visits, do you expect that they will equal your experience at Louisville?

(brief laugh) "It's going to be pretty tough for anybody to match up with that visit. When guys usually go on visits they come back and say how they have a great athletic department and great facilities, but everything about Louisville was just amazing."

Let's make sure we don't have another misprint. What schools currently top your list?

"LSU, Florida, Arkansas, Michigan, Oklahoma and make sure to include Louisville."

Your school continues to have an impressive season.

"We're 11-0 right now and going into the second week of the playoffs. Right now I am fourth on the team in tackles with 68 and I have 11 sacks."
