While he has also collected scholarship offers from the likes of Cincinnati, Connecticut, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia, the 6-foot-5, 295-pounder has narrowed his final list to just two - Michigan State and Louisville.
"That's all that I'm looking at now," Wetterer told InsideTheVille.com on Monday. "I've narrowed it down to just those two. I'm going to take official visits to both of those schools. I'm going on an official visit to Michigan State not this weekend, but next weekend and then I think my official visit to Louisville is the weekend after that."
"Since they have new coaches I'm undecided right now," he explained. "I did commit there, but right now it is pretty much up in the air. I'm going to decide after I go on my official visits."
Wetterer explained that his interest in the MSU program grew after making an unofficial visit to the campus earlier in the year.
"I really liked the school when I went up there for a recruiting visit," he said. "I liked the coaches, but now they are gone. I know Coach Dantonio real well from being at UC and I like him too. The main reason is that I like the school."
Wetterer also attended a couple of Cardinal home games this fall.
"I've been down to two games," said Wetterer. "I went down to the West Virginia game and the their last home game. I really like the coaches and the players there. I like the school there to and it's a lot closer to my home."
Wetterer has received All-Conference, 1st Team All-SW Ohio and 2nd Team All-Ohio Division I honors for his play as a senior.
