Cards land 3-star offensive lineman

Scout.com three-star offensive lineman Mark Wetterer of Cincinnati Anderson High School committed to the University of Louisville during an unofficial visit on Saturday

Just a few days ago InsideTheVille.com first informed you that Cincinnati Anderson offensive lineman Mark Wetterer was reconsidering his previous verbal pledge to Michigan State and looking at the University of Louisville as his possible college destination.

On Saturday the 6-foot-5, 295-pound three-star prospect made the short trip south for an unofficial visit with the Cardinal program.

"It went real good, I actually committed," said Wetterer. "I'm pretty much done. I'm just going to take my official visit to Louisville and that's it."

In addition to Michigan State and Louisville, Wetterer also held scholarship offers from the likes of Cincinnati, Connecticut, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia.

"I was pretty sure that I was going to do it all along," said Wetterer of decision to commit. "I had that in my mind that I was going to do that before I went down there. I just had to tell them."

"I first told Coach Cassity in the recruiting room," he continued. "They all seemed pretty happy."
