Turenne looking for the right fit

A 1st Team JC All-American, College of the Sequoias defensive back Woodny Turenne has been one of the most sought after prospects this recruiting season. The 6'1, 185-pound Scout.com four-star prospect is set for an official visit with The Ville this weekend.

With the University of Louisville football staff back from the recruiting trails, their focus will turn to hosting a number of talented high school and junior college prospects on official visits this weekend. Among the group expected to travel to the Derby City this weekend is Scout.com four-star junior college cornerback Woodny Turenne.

"Yeah, I'm coming down to Louisville this weekend," Turenne said on Thursday. "I've already been to Florida and Washington State."

He's remains undecided about making any additional visits following his trip to Louisville.

"I'm not sure right now," said Turenne, who has spent the past two seasons at College of Sequoias in California.

A first-team JC All-American, the 6'1, 185-pound Fort Lauderdale, Florida native collected over 30 written scholarship offers, but has recently narrowed his list of schools to Florida, Louisville, Ole Miss, USC and Washington State.

Turenne will spend time touring the U of L football facilities and campus, visit with coaches and players and attend the in-state hardwood rivalry game in Freedom Hall during his time in Louisville this weekend. However, despite the strong impression that he's likely to receive while getting a glimpse into Cardinal football, Turenne says it could come down to just finding the place that feels right.

"I want to see how I fit in with the program," he explained. "I want to find out if I'll be cool with the players and coaches."
