Besides the normal assortment of official visit activities, like meeting with coaches and academic advisors, touring facilities and getting an up close look at Petrino's fifth-ranked program, the Cardinals talented guests will also get to see Louisville play Kentucky at Freedom Hall Saturday afternoon.
Here's who Petrino hopes to sway to Louisville this weekend:
Heading the list for Louisville is four-star linebacker Josh Bynes from Lauderdale Lakes, Florida. Bynes, the #5 linebacker in the nation, has his list narrowed down to Louisville, South Carolina, Auburn and Iowa.
Four-star running back Dale Martin is also expected to visit. From Bolingbrook, Illinois, Martin received a visit from Louisville assistant Reggie Johnson earlier this week and is looking at Iowa, Nebraska, Tennessee and Florida.
Woodny Turenne, a four-star JUCO cornerback from California will make a visit. Turenne, originally from Florida, has been clocked in 4.3 in the forty and is considered one of the top junior college prospects nationally. He's down to Washington State, Florida, Louisville, Ole Miss and South Carolina.
It's fairly obvious the Cardinals want to add some experience in the secondary and they'll also host Allen Bell, a three-star JUCO cornerback orginially from Tallahassee, Florida. Bell is leaning to Ole Miss, but the Cardinals will have the last chance to change the 6-2, 195-pound defensive prospect's mind. "I wouldn't say I'm wide open right now, I am leaning to Ole Miss, but I am taking in other things as well to compare," Bell told Scout.com earlier this week.
Florida tight end Mat Williams will make his official visit to Louisville this weekend after taking several unofficial trips to U of L. Williams, one of the top tight end prospects in Florida, will make his decision early next week after visiting Louisville. He's considering South Carolina, Ole Miss and South Florida.
