Bell will visit Iowa State January 12, then "will make (his) decision right after that trip."
Bell has already made official visits to Ole Miss, East Carolina and Louisville and Saturday morning told InsideTheVille.com that the Cardinals are in the lead. "Right now Louisville is in the lead with me," Bell said. "I had a great visit there and I really liked everything there."
Bell, a former high school teammate at James Rickards of several current members of the Cardinals Orange Bowl championship team, said he watched Louisville's 24-13 win over Wake Forest earlier this week. "They looked great," Bell said. "William Gay was doing his thing and he's from my hometown and when I was watching the game I was thinking that I'd like to keep that (Tallahassee) tradition going at Louisville."
With Gay and starting corner Gavin Smart graduating, the Cardinals are looking for immediate help in the secondary. "That's appealing to me," Bell said. Bell will graduate from Independence (KS) C.C. in May and could make an immediate impact in the Louisville secondary next season.
