Allen Bell names a leader

Three-star JUCO cornerback Allen Bell will make one more official visit before announcing his college decision, but Saturday morning told InsideTheVille.com that one team clearly leads the way for his services? Who's in the driver's seat for the 6-2 Bell?

Three-star JUCO cornerback Allen Bell will make one more official visit before announcing his college decision, but the Tallahassee, Florida native has a clear cut leader heading into that final trip.

Bell will visit Iowa State January 12, then "will make (his) decision right after that trip."

Bell has already made official visits to Ole Miss, East Carolina and Louisville and Saturday morning told InsideTheVille.com that the Cardinals are in the lead. "Right now Louisville is in the lead with me," Bell said. "I had a great visit there and I really liked everything there."

Bell, a former high school teammate at James Rickards of several current members of the Cardinals Orange Bowl championship team, said he watched Louisville's 24-13 win over Wake Forest earlier this week. "They looked great," Bell said. "William Gay was doing his thing and he's from my hometown and when I was watching the game I was thinking that I'd like to keep that (Tallahassee) tradition going at Louisville."

With Gay and starting corner Gavin Smart graduating, the Cardinals are looking for immediate help in the secondary. "That's appealing to me," Bell said. Bell will graduate from Independence (KS) C.C. in May and could make an immediate impact in the Louisville secondary next season.
