Staff member key factor for LB Josh Bynes four-star prospect Josh Bynes talks about U of L coaching change and how it might effect his continuing interest in the Cardinal program...

Following his official visit with Louisville in mid-December, Josh Bynes, a four-star linebacker from Lauderdale Lakes, Florida, described the trip as a perfect ten and admitted that it helped increase the Cardinal programs chances of signing him next month.

Those chances took a hit on Sunday when Bobby Petrino accepted an offer from the Atlanta Falcons. There was initial concern that the recent head coaching change at Louisville would bring an end to Bynes interest in the Orange Bowl Champions, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

"I talked to Coach Johnson on Monday and he told me that he was staying there and that is what is important to me," Bynes told on Tuesday evening. "I'm more interested in who is going to be my position coach, the linebackers and defensive coaches."

In addition to his trip to Louisville, Bynes, 6-foot-2, 215-pounds, has also made official visits with Auburn and Iowa. He's scheduled to visit South Carolina the weekend of January 19.

"I'm still wide open," said Bynes. "Everyone is even right now."

Bynes is ranked among the top 20 strongside linebackers in the nation by and was named Broward County Class 4A-5A-6A Player of the Year.
