Kragthorpe to visit four-star Josh Bynes

University of Louisville head coach Steve Kragthorpe and assistant Reggie Johnson have scheduled a visit with four-star linebacker Josh Bynes. When will the new Cardinal head coach make the trip to the Sunshine State? has the latest...

Sunday began the 'contact period' for college coaches, meaning that they are allowed additional contact, such as phone calls, and can make in-home visits with prospective student-athletes. After wrapping a weekend that saw him introduce the majority of his coaching staff and the hosting of a number of official visitors, University of Louisville head coach Steve Kragthorpe will head back to the airport and begin visiting some of Louisville's top recruiting targets.

High atop his agenda is four-star linebacker Josh Bynes. The Lauderdale Lakes, Florida prospect informed on Sunday evening that the new Cardinal head coach is scheduled for a Monday evening visit.

"He is supposed to come visit me (Monday)," said Bynes. "He and coach Johnson, the linebackers coach, are supposed to come by around 7:00 p.m.."

Last week Bynes, 6-foot-2, 220-pounds, stated that Johnson's presence on the newly assembled coaching staff would help the Cardinal program remain among his current short list of favorites. He reiterated that claim again on Sunday.

"I'm glad that coach Johnson is staying," said Bynes. "We've built a good bond. I'm looking forward to meeting the new coach, but it's mainly about my relationship with coach Johnson."

Bynes has already visited Auburn, Iowa and Louisville, and has a trip to South Carolina scheduled for this coming weekend.

"It's just those four now," said Bynes, adding that he‘s not paying much attention to the many others that continue their pursuit. "They are, but I'm not really interested in anybody else. I have my four."
