More than 19,000 fans, the majority wearing white t-shirts, were on hand at Freedom Hall to see Louisville host Connecticut on Monday night. The 'White Out' crowd was treated to an exciting 68-54 win over the Huskies.

David Padgett recorded a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Sophomore Terrence Williams played 37 minutes and added 18 points and 9 rebounds.

Forward Juan Palacios continued to shoot well. The junior hit three 3-pointer's and scored 16 points in the win. He is averaging 18.5 points per game in his last two outings.

U of L head coach Rick Pitino notched career win #484. Pitino moved into a tie for sixth place for the best start by a coach through 21 seasons. Pitino is tied with former Georgetown head coach John Thompson. Both have an identical 484-178 career record.

Defensively, the Cardinals forced 20 UConn turovers. It's the sixth time U of L has forced 20 or more turnovers this season and they are now a perfect 6-0 in those games.
