While he hadn't planned to announce his college decision until tomorrow, College of the Sequoias cornerback Woodny Turenne told InsideTheVille.com on Thursday afternoon that he has committed to the University of Louisville.

"I committed to Louisville yesterday," said Turenne, who recently visited with Cardinal head coach Steve Kragthorpe and assistant Mike Cassity.

Turenne, a Scout.com four-star prospect, narrowed his list of over 30 scholarship offers down to Louisville, Oklahoma State and Washington State before extending his verbal pledge to the Cardinal program.

"I like the new coach and I think I can come in and play," said Turenne, who will also get a look at returning kicks this fall.

Following countless phone calls, text messages and four official visits, Turenne, 6'0, 180-pounds, admits that it's a relief to have the decision behind him.

"That feels real good," he said. "Now on can focus on school and other things."

Turenne will be a spring graduate and will arrive in Louisville prior to the start of fall camp.
