Big East Powers Visit Anderson

1st Team All-State running back Victor Anderson received visits from his two finalists this week four-star running back Victor Anderson has two schools on his mind. The Louisville St. Xavier product told on Wednesday that he was planning on choosing between Big East Conference rivals West Virginia and Louisville.

"I have Louisville and West Virginia at the top right now and I'm thinking about making my decision Friday," Anderson told Don Callahan on Wednesday.

Anderson, who has taken official visits to Kentucky, Louisville and West Virginia, also considered North Carolina and South Florida prior to narrowing his list. He verbally pledged to the Mountaineers in last April, but has since made numerous unofficial visits with the Cardinal program.

His two finalists, which have played in two of the more memorable Big East games over the past two seasons, have made recent last minute visits with the 5-foot-9, 185-pound back.

Louisville and West Virginia visited with the Midwest Hot 100 member at St.X this week. After spending a few minutes with Anderson at his school, U of L assistants Greg Nord and new running backs coach Tony Alford spent additional time with him during an in-home visit on Thursday evening.

Anderson, rated among the nation's top 30 running back prospects by, rushed for more than 1,400 yards and 22 touchdowns as a senior, earning Co-District Player of the Year and 1st Team All-State honors.

A three time 1st Team All-State selection, Anderson is St.X's all-time leading rusher, totaling 4,008 yards and 75 touchdowns. He twice led the Tigers to the state finals and was named Most Valuable Player as a sophomore after helping his team win the 4A crown.

A decision from Anderson is expected Sunday, but an earlier announcement is a possibility.
