Adam Tello nears decision

Adam Tello, a three-star offensive lineman from Norco (CA) High, is almost prepared to announce his college decision. The nation's #36 OG prospect will pick either Arizona State or Louisville Friday. Tello spoke with about his decision-making process and hinted which school he'll choose.

Earlier this week, three-star Norco, California offensive lineman Adam Tello narrowed his list to two programs – Arizona State and Louisville. And while the 6-5, 290-pound standout wasn't ready to announce his decision Thursday night, he's getting close.

"I haven't made my decision yet, but I probably will (Friday)," Tello said Thursday night.

Though he wouldn't completely go on record with his decision Thursday night, he did offer a hint of what lies in store for his future.

"I really don't want to announce until tomorrow, but I'm leaning toward ASU and I'm pretty sure (that's my choice)," he said. "I like the coaches there and the school."

"It's already a winning program and they have some really good coaches there. It's a college town and really a college state. And I like the city, it's beautiful. But the only downside is that it's so far from home."

Tello's girlfriend will attend Louisville next fall on a softball scholarship. But it doesn't appear that relationship will pay any dividends for Steve Kragthorpe and the Cardinals.

"She wants me to do what's best for me," Tello said.

Louisville was also hoping to land one of Tello's teammates, 5-11, 210-pound four-star linebacker Jordan Campbell. But while the Cardinals hosted Campbell last weekend, it appears he'll stick with his verbal commitment to USC and sign with the Trojans next week.

"He told me he liked his trip to Louisville, but that he wants to go to USC. He's going to USC," Tello said.
