USFNation.com quoted the 6-4, 215-pound Grant as saying this about his recruitment following his official visit to South Florida: "After this weekend, my top 3 choices are Iowa, Louisville, and USF. Right now, Iowa and USF are my top two, and Louisville rounds out my top 3."
Grant made clear Monday night that a portion of that report, specifically the part about Louisville falling behind South Florida on his list, wasn't what he intended.
"That (part) was totally inaccurate," Grant told InsideTheVille.com Monday night. "I read that (Monday) morning and I couldn't believe it. My top three schools are Iowa, South Florida and Louisville."
While his visit to Tampa is still fresh on his mind, Grant remains undecided about his future. The way Grant figures it he's got three "great" options and can't go wrong with any of three. "I'm just not sure yet," he said.
Though Grant remains uncertain, the standout linebacker said he'll sit down with his parents Tuesday and hammer out a decision. "We'll just sit down, talk and see what's what," Grant said.
Being a dead-period, college coaches aren't allowed to contact prospective athletes. But that didn't stop Grant from making contact with one of the three schools remaining on his list Monday. "I called Louisville today," Grant said. "I told them about my visit to USF and where things stand."
Grant will announce his decision Wednesday morning at Boyd Anderson High School at 10 a.m, along with highly-ranked teammates Josh Bynes and Kevin Bryant. ESPN will be there for the announcement and Grant said he's excited to get the decision behind him.
Will it be Louisville, Iowa or South Florida? Stay tuned.
