U of L Junior Day scheduled for April

Cardinal football program will host dozens of state and regional prospects this spring

Fresh off another strong recruiting season, U of L head coach Steve Kragthorpe and his staff have started their work on the class of 2008. Those efforts will escalate when the University of Louisville football program hosts it's annual junior day this spring.

Among last year's large group of visitors were future U of L signee's Doug Beaumont, Zach Kiernan and Matt Simms. Others such as Kyrus Lanxter, Billy Joe Murphy and (future U of L walk-on) Sam Webb also attended.

Coach Steve Kragthorpe will welcome many of the top players in the state, as well as from throughout the region on Saturday, April 14.

Attendee's will receive a tour of the Howard L. Schnellenberger Football Complex, the Trager Center and Papa John's Cardinal Stadium, as well as visit with coaches and players. Following all of the planned activities, many of the visiting juniors will stay and watch the team practice and/or scrimmage that afternoon.

U of L will also host a number of those same prospects and many others two months later during it's annual 7-on-7 passing tournament, development camps and Senior Day.
