North Garland, Texas defensive back C.J. Cox is getting heavy interest from some major schools. He has already attended a couple of junior days and could be getting very close to his first offer.

"Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Louisville are all recruiting me pretty hard," Cox said. "I think they could be close to offering."

The 5-foot-11, 190-pound Cox has already attended a couple of junior days this spring.

"I went to junior days at Texas A&M and Oklahoma," Cox said. "At Oklahoma I talked to coach Veneables and it was real cool. I had a really good time there."

As a junior Cox collected 81 tackles, two interceptions and forced three fumbles.

"Oklahoma and Louisville are my top two," Cox said. "I am looking for a program with a winning tradition and where I will get a good education."

Cox earned first team all-district honors last fall.
