Louisville coach Rick Pitino is looking to sign a Top 5-ranked 2008 recruiting class. 6-8, 240 pound New Jersey forward Samardo Samuels, one of the Top 5 prospects in the nation, could help make that happen.

Samuels told Scout.com at the Boo Williams AAU Tournament Friday night that he's primarily considering four schools: North Carolina, Florida, Louisville and UConn.

Samuels, a five-star Scout.com prospect, has already made unofficial visits to North Carolina and Florida. Friday, he said he'll also take a visit to Louisville in the near future.

"I'm planning on taking a visit down to Louisville and that's the only thing I have coming up right now," Samuels said. "I'll take official visits to North Carolina, definitely Florida, one at UConn, Louisville, I think, and one other school," Samuels said.

Samuels mentioned two players in the Class of 2008 that could influence his college decision: Pennsylvania guard Tyreke Evans and Ohio forward Delvon Roe. Evans is considered a Louisville lean, while many think Roe will head to North Carolina.

Could the battle for Samuels' services come down to the Tar Heels and Cardinals?

"I've played with Tyreke in the IS8 in New York. I like playing with Tyreke," Samuels said. "Delvon said he wanted to bring back the Fab Five. He's one of the players that are recruiting me. He has a lot of interesting things to say when we talk on the phone."

Samuels is expected to take his official visits before making his college decision. Can Louisville land Samuels, the nation's No. 4 prospect?
