Arizona State, Boston College, Illinois, Indiana, Nebraska, Oregon State and Purdue are among those that have already extended an offer to the 5-foot-11, 215-pound back. Another from Central Florida is likely headed his way, while others such as Florida State, Louisville, LSU, North Carolina and Tennessee all have their eye on him.
"Coach Alford was telling that I have a great chance of getting an offer from them," Womble said of Louisville's interest. "I talk to Coach Alford a lot. I really like him and my dad likes him a lot as well. He thinks that the other coaches just need to see more of me."
"I'm going to go to their camp in June," Womble told InsideTheVille.com on Monday evening. "I'm also going to camp at Arizona and Arizona State. I'm going to sit down and talk with my coach about going to some others."
As a junior, Womble totaled 180 carries for 1250 yards and 15 touchdowns. He gets in done in the weight room as well. He benches 370 pounds, squats 510 and has a 34-inch vertical jump.
"Me and my teammates have done speed training three days a week and then we do weight lifting just about every day," Womble said of his off season conditioning.
In no hurry to make a college decision, Womble has yet to compile a short list of favorites.
"I'm going to take all five of my official visits before I make my decision," Womble said. "I want to make sure I make the right choice."
