Davis lists Tennessee, Florida, Florida State, South Florida and Auburn atop his list. While his current list is heavy on in-state schools, Davis, who attends Lee High School in Jacksonville, Florida, says he's not necessarily looking to stay in state.
"I guess you could say I'd like to stay close to home, but it really doesn't matter to me that much," Davis said.
Louisville coaches have been to Davis' school this spring, and the athletic lineman says he's interested to learn more about the Cardinals program.
"I might take their offer into (strong) consideration," Davis said. "I'm really strongly interested in them. They are up there on my list, but they're not in my Top 5. But I would like to go there to tell you the truth."
Davis said he'd like to visit Louisville this summer, "probably in July." He said he wants to get to know the Louisville coaches better before moving the Cardinals up his list of favorites.
"I want to see how they're (new) coaching staff is and see how they practice," Davis said. "Their new coach sounds real nice, but I'd like to meet him and see how he really is in person."
Davis, who attends the same school as current Louisville cornerback Craig James, said he can play multiple positions in college.
"I could play guard or defensive end or even linebacker," he said. "It doesn't matter to me."
