Eloy Vargas names 'slight favorite'

Who is Eloy Vargas? He's the 6-foot-9 power forward from Plantation, Florida who had a coming out party this weekend at the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions. Louisville is giving chase and Vargas told Scout.com he's got a favorite school in mind over the weekend.

Eloy Vargas, a Scout.com Top 100 prospect, turned in a superior weekend with Team Breakdown at the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions. Vargas found a mix of perimeter and post in his game and looked very good in doing so.

In speaking with the 6-foot-8 angular prospect, it's clear he's got a long list and seems to be in no rush to trim it. Amongst the interested parties: Pittsburgh, Miami, Clemson, Florida State, Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, Minnesota, Louisville and Wichita State.

Vargas indicated Louisville, Pitt, Miami and Florida State were chasing the hardest and said that Louisville is the slight favorite.
