After collecting offers from Air Force, Miami and South Florida, the 6-foot-6, 220-pounder attended U of L's senior development camp and added an offer from the Cardinal program before leaving Louisville.
"I was going to do that, but I ended up canceling all of those because I think that I probably have the school picked out already," Nord told InsideTheVille.com on Tuesday.
While Nord isn't ready to tip his hat to his likely choice, he does have clear ties to the Cardinal program. His father, Gary Nord, is a former Louisville tight end and offensive coordinator, while his uncle, Greg Nord, is in his tenth year on the Cardinals staff.
"It's between Louisville and Miami," Nord said. "They both think that I fit in their system and that I'd make a good tight end for them."
With his choices narrowed down to just two, Nord is looking forward to making his college decision and focusing on his senior season.
"I'm going to do it in late June or early July," he said. "I just think that I'd like to get it out of the way before the start of the season."
As for the injury that sidelined him for the majority of the 2006 season?
"I'm pretty much back to 100% now," he said. "I have all of my range and strength back, so it's basically back to normal."
