Miller, who is currently playing in Philadelphia, has been outstanding so far at the Reebok U Camp on the Philadelphia University campus. In the two games InsideTheVille.com saw Miller play Monday, the versatile Miller hit 11-of-19 shots from the floor for 25 points, attacked the boards hard for 18 rebounds and also dished out several assists.
As things stand, Kentucky, Louisville, Florida, Duke, Illinois and Tennessee make up a pretty accurate list for Miller. In the end, though, don't be surprised if Miller's recruitment comes down to an old-fashioned "Battle of the Bluegrass" between Louisville's Rick Pitino and Kentucky's Billy Gillespie.
"I'm about to narrow it down here pretty soon – probably sometime this week or next," Miller said. "I've got to talk it over with my dad and hopefully I'll have it narrowed pretty soon."
This summer, Miller has taken two unofficial visits – to Kentucky and Louisville. "I've visited UK; I've visited Louisville – that's it for this summer," Miller said.
Here's what Miller has to say about both programs:
"Growing up in Kentucky, they're good programs and they're right there by home and there are a lot of people interested (in my recruitment) where I live," Miller said. "So I'm very interested in those two programs."
As for Kentucky?
"They have a great coaching staff," Miller said. "I still feel the same way about them as I did when (Tubby Smith) was there."
"I like them, too, probably the same as Kentucky," Miller said. "Like I said, growing up around them it's hard not to like them."
Whoever lands Miller will be getting a smooth and unselfish forward with a very well-rounded game. Whether it's scoring, passing, rebounding or defending, Miller can get it done.
"It's been a good camp," Miller said. "I'm playing against a lot of good players and having fun. I just try to do anything to help the team win. We've got a lot of players that can score so I just try to do all the other little things."
