A standout at the Scout.com Combine in Dallas last spring, it's easy to understand why programs like Iowa, Louisville, Colorado and Missouri have extended scholarship offers. Edwards, who recorded 54 tackles and 3 INT's as a junior, also holds offers from North Texas, Rice, Kansas and UTEP.
Louisville assistant Tony Alford is recruiting Edwards, who runs a 4.5 forty, for the Cardinals. A fast and physical corner, Edwards said he's planning to make an unofficial visit to Louisville next month.
"I'm so far loving Louisville," Edwards said. "(Coach Alford) says Louisville would be a good fit for me. They offered sometime last spring and I got the offer letter in June. I'm feeling a lot of love from their coaching staff and I'm going up to Louisville real soon – sometime in August."
At this point, Edwards isn't naming favorites in his recruitment. He's already made an unofficial visit to Missouri this summer and plans trips to Arkansas, Louisville and Iowa before school begins later this summer.
"Everyone is even on my list right now," said Edwards.
Edwards said he'll narrow his list down next month, schedule some official visits and then make his college decision next fall.
"I want to find a coaching staff that I feel comfortable with and a school where I can get a good education," Edwards said.
