Joe Looney, a mammoth offensive guard from Lake Worth, Florida, is getting ready to hit the road for some official visits next month. The 6-foot-4, 320 pound three-star prospect has already scheduled three visits and he has a pretty good idea about when he'll make his fourth visit – and his decision.

Looney, whose father played at Louisville, will start his official visit tour at West Virginia. He'll visit the Mountaineers August 31 when they open their season against Western Michigan. From Morgantown, Looney heads to Rutgers for a Sept. 7 visit. Wake Forest will host Looney Sept. 21.

After Looney makes his three official visits in September, he'll likely travel to Louisville in October to watch the Cardinals play at Papa John's Stadium against Utah. That trip could be Looney's final visit before he makes his decision.

"I'm going to try to get up there to Louisville October 6," Looney said. "That's when I'm going to try to get up there. That's the only time I can get up there. I was going to try to go up for the Kentucky game, but I guess Louisville isn't playing them at home this year.

"I'm staying in touch with the schools that have been recruiting me the hardest. I'm thinking about making a decision in mid-October.

Looney told InsideTheVille.com that he's not ready to name a favorite and that he considers the four schools that he'll make official visits to this fall "even." Last month, Looney included Alabama in his Top Five. Looney's isn't certain he'll visit Nick Saban's Crimson Tide.

"I don't know if I'm going to take my fifth visit," Looney said.
